Schneider Parker Jakuc was a sixty person agency in Boston's Back Bay. I worked on every agency account including Digital Equipment Corporation, Timex/Sinclair Computer, Harmon Kardon, Dolby Products, and, of course, new business pitches. SPJ was bought by HBM in the mid '80s and HBM was bought by Arnold Worldwide sometime in the early '90s. Today, all that likely remains of SPJ is a dusty set of personnel folders somewhere at Arnold in Boston.

Responsibilities

You name it, I did it. Comps, stats, paste-up, and yes, beer runs. Eventually they gave me my own account – Digital's Small Business Group where I had great fun working with talented writers, presenting to clients, and directing photography.
